7 Brew Coffee and a 'very, very fun vibe' coming to Alamosa

ALAMOSA — 7 Brew, a drive-thru coffee chain, is moving forward to opening its third location in Colorado — in Alamosa. As previously reported in the Valley Courier, the location will be where the former Locavores casual restaurant was on Highway 160 in Alamosa.

Over the past week, demolition crews from Cooley and Sons Excavating wrecked the former restaurant to make way for the new coffee drive-thru.

The coffee chain describes itself on its website, "7 Brew was born from a desire to change drive-thru coffee into a mind-blowing experience for everyone…7 Brew is so much more than just a coffee stand. It's the concept of cultivating kindness and joy with every drink.”

Zac Cockman with the coffee chain told the Valley Courier, "Our coffee is an art form, and we strive to make this one big experience for our baristas and customers."

As part of that experience, customers who drive up to place their orders will be greeted by a barista who will come out of the building and talk with customers who will be in their cars. Cockman said the company strives to cultivate the experience and offer a "very, very, fun vibe." The chain has 155 locations across the U.S.

After the demolition is finished this week, 7 Brew expects to mobilize the initial construction phase in Alamosa next week, and "everyone is ready to rock." The company intends to open the Alamosa location next April.

The company is expected to hire 50 baristas next spring and those interested should visit the chain's website at www.7brew.com.
