Frances Graves looks away from the needle as San Luis Valley Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council Coordinator Jon Montano draws blood on Friday at the annual 9Health Fair held at the National Guard Readiness Center. Earlier that morning a man said the fair saved his life last year when test results showed he had prostate cancer though they were negative the year prior. “It’s a vital but underrated service,” said 9Health Fair President and CEO Gary Drews.
Trinidad State Junior College student Alyssia Pena measures the blood pressure of Elizabeth Baugh from South Fork at the 9Health Fair at the National Guard Readiness Center on Friday.
