Participants are off to grab their bikes and begin the annual 12 Hours of Penitence Race early Saturday morning in Penitente Canyon.

The Penitence Race is a benefit for the San Luis Valley Composite Mountain Bike Racing Team, the Rattlers, who were able to purchase this trailer from last year’s proceeds. The team will be competing in the state championship in Durango this month.
