A Trail of Thoughts: The truth

There are always two sides to a story. This fact of life never ceases to be true. Things are not always what they appear to be. One account can tell events in a certain manner, while the other can paint an entirely different picture. The listener has a choice of which side to believe. It is also an issue of control. There is often a fierce contest between the two sides as to which is more convincing. To me, there is no such thing as true neutrality. Everyone has their own predetermined opinions about issues whether they are big or small. They may not want to admit it, but personal bias almost always plays a role in the outcome of various situations. It all depends on what one chooses to believe. Sometimes, there is no middle ground on an issue. It is either right or wrong. I, for one, like to be on the winning side. I like to stick with the facts and stick with the truth. The truth has a way of showing itself. Why not start there? There is something to be said for hearing all sides. But, in the end, right will win. It is always a good thing to choose what is better. Truth is always a safe choice.
