A Trail of Thoughts: Time is valuable

There is often a lot of buildup for big events. Usually, many weeks, months, and even years of preparation can go into something that lasts only a few days or less. The Super Bowl and other major sporting events are classic examples of this concept. For me, these things are a reminder that time passes all too quickly. While there is no slowing the passage of time, we can choose to make the most of it. In reality, time is one of the most valuable things we are given in this life. We can never get it back, and yet there never seems to be enough of it. No matter what, “time keeps on slippin, slippin into the future.”

Using time wisely is something that is important to me. That is because I believe time is a gift that should not be squandered. While there is no shortage of things to do, it is important to invest time in what matters. When someone chooses to be a part of something meaningful, that is time well spent. By that, I mean being things that can leave a lasting impact. After all, isn’t that what is really going to count when it is all said and done? Ultimately, it all comes back to the kind of legacy one wants to leave.
