Manassa resident Abel L. Jaramillo, went to his eternal rest on July 2, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side. Abel was born in July in Cañon De Vallecitos, New Mexico, the son of Adelido Jaramillo and Fedelina Salazar. Abel was a loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who enjoyed team roping, riding horses, watching boxing, and loved being a part of his rodeo family. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife Mercy Jaramillo of Manassa, CO; daughters Kathy (Joe) Romero of Antonito, CO; Isabel Jaramillo of Espanola, NM; son Dominic Casados of Ensenada, NM; grandchildren Damian Romero, Miranda Romero, Gabriel Terrazas-Jaramillo, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Abel was preceded in death by his parents Adelido and Fedelina Jaramillo and one sister.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10:00 AM also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
