ALAMOSA– An account has been opened at Alamosa State Bank for those wishing to support the “Woodward Strong 5k” walk and run scheduled for Saturday, June 23, beginning at 8 a.m. at the north entrance to Cole Park.

The event will be a fundraiser for longtime community leader Jeff Woodward who is battling pancreatic cancer. He is probably best known for his annual leadership with the Early Iron Club and their annual car show Labor Day weekend.

All participants will receive a “Woodward Strong” t-shirt. All business sponsors will get their name printed on the back of shirt and should sign up by June 13^th. Sponsor donations may be taken to Alamosa State, Woody’s Q Shack near Subway, or mailed to: Woodward Strong, 182 Raptor Ct., Canon City, 81212.
