Adams State Homecoming events start Sept. 22

ALAMOSA — The fun, free carnival returns during Adams State University Homecoming. The popular, community event begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, on the North Campus Green.

The 2023 Homecoming festivities begin Friday, Sept. 22, with an alumni reception and awards banquet. Award recipients include Kale Mortensen, Outstanding Alumnus; Elena Burr, Exceptional New Alumna; and Kathy Rogers Woods, Billy Adams Award. On Saturday, Sept. 23, the Homecoming Parade begins at 11 a.m. in Downtown Alamosa; followed by the free carnival and car show, from 1 until 5 p.m. on the North Campus Green.

The Grizzlies take on the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks under the lights at 6 p.m. in Rex Stadium. Get in the spirit at the Tailgate, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Nielsen Library parking lot; the event includes axe throwing, food, Spare Keg Brewerks beer; cornhole and board games.

Participate in the Run/Walk 4 Wellness at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24; starting in front of Plachy Hall, on Stadium Drive; and ending in front of Rex Stadium with a Wellness Fair.
