Adams State senior art majors exhibit their work

ALAMOSA – The Adams State University Cloyde Snook and Hatfield Galleries are pleased to present two group exhibitions featuring the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students. A closing reception for Areté and Coadunation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, in the Art Building. The event is free and open to the public.

Five Bachelor of Fine Arts students will be featured in the show Areté, including Ashley Comly, Robert Gallegos, Brent Montoya, Lucie Olivas, and Andrew Rascon. Their collective exhibit is on display in the Cloyde Snook Gallery.

Artists featured for the juried exhibition Coadunation, juried by Colorado artist Randy Pijoan, include graduating seniors Malissa Smithey and Brittany Wilson, Susan Andrews, Sara Lee Grandelis, Ashley Lopez, Availya Martinez, Piper Meuwissen, Katherine Muniz, Crystal Pantler, Patricia Rodriguez, Jessica Ryan, Jade Stemmler, Hailee Velasquez, and Elizabeth Wolters. Exhibition will be held in the Hatfield Gallery.

Arete and Coadunation will run through May 11. The artists will be present at the closing reception on May 11. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday. For additional information please contact the Art Department at 719-587-7823.
