Additional providers join San Luis Valley Health team

VALLEY — A new position was created at SLV Health that has been filled by Brendan Simenc, PA-C.  The new position will be shared to support both general surgery and cardiology. 

Brendan graduated from the Ohio Dominican University Physician Assistant program in Columbus, Ohio. He received his undergrad degree from Miami University, college of Arts and Sciences, in Oxford, Ohio. Besides his Physician Assistant Certification, he also is certified in AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and is an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider.

When not working, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, biking, playing the guitar, and watching Cleveland’s sports teams. He is excited to explore the Rocky Mountains.

Katherine O’Donnell, MSPAS, PA-C, joins the Orthopedics Team at San Luis Valley Health.  She graduated from Ohio Dominican University’s Physician Assistant program with a Masters in PA Studies. She gained valuable clinical training during her many rotations after graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Along with her PA Certification, she is certified as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider, Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers and Emergency Medical Technician.

Katherine was a ski jumper on Miami University’s waterski team. She is an avid snowboarder, and loves camping, hiking and fishing and can’t wait to take advantage of all of the outdoor opportunities that Colorado has to offer!
