Adella Trujillo went to be with our Lord on October 21, 2021. She was born in Monte Vista Colorado on April 6, 1927 to Julian and Bersabel Trujillo. She was raised by her uncle and aunt Fructuoso and Donaciana Trujillo. She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband Luis Trujillo Sr.; son Richard Trujillo; brother Lorenzo Trujillo; and grandson Matthew Medina. She is survived by her children Louella Watkins, Loraine De Leon, Deborah Quintana, Luis (Nancy) Trujillo Jr., Robert Trujillo, Patricia Pacheco; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Adella loved the Lord, reading her bible, chopping wood for her cookstove, and cooking. She was known for her tortillas, chili and beans. She was very spiritual and loved the Lord and her church. Her family described her as loving, kind, funny, warm, and positive. She lived a hardy life in the San Luis Valley, the descendant of 18th-century Spanish pioneers, she was a super survivor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her life is an example of a strong Christian faith, she loved others first.
