ALAMOSA- Members of the Alamosa School District Wellness Committee and Drug Task Force partnered to put on the first annual Wellness Games for all ages on Thursday.

School Nurse Darcey Hansen said the goal was to create a healthy community where everyone can participate and achieve success. Different booths with information about drug use were set up, along with corn hole and food. The big event was kiddie kick ball with little kiddie pools as the bases.

Sarah Ramirez, social studies teacher, said the idea was to get younger people involved. “In the future we want to make this an annual event,” Ramirez said.
