Alamosa 9Health Fair planned

ALAMOSA — 9Health Fair at Alamosa County Public Health Department is Friday, April 28.  Health Fair Coordinator Carol Colvin and the team are gearing up for a Back to the Basics fair, which includes height, weight, blood pressure, blood draws, colon cancer screening kit and talk to a medical professional. 

The April 28 fair will be held at the Public Health Department at 8900B Independence Way from 7-11 am. It is not necessary to fast for any of the blood tests and participants are encouraged to drink plenty of water beforehand.

Blood draws offered at the Alamosa fair are:

Blood chemistry - $35

Blood cell count - $20

Vitamin D - $45

Hemoglobin A1C - $30

PSA for men - $30

Testosterone for men - $35 – new this year

Testosterone for women - $45 – new this year

The colon cancer screening take home kit is also available for $25.

A Vitamin B12 blood test valued at $20 is available free of charge with the purchase of any other blood test or the colon cancer screening kit.

Participants may register and pay for blood tests and/or the colon cancer screening kit online at www.9HealthFair.org.

Registration is also available at the fair and payment can be cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.
