Alamosa BOCC meeting moved to Thursday

ALAMOSA — Due to the Colorado Counties Incorporated (CCI) conference from June 7-9  in Eagle County the Alamosa Board of County Commissioners will be holding their regular meeting on Thursday, June 10.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be limited in-person capacity. A virtual conference room has been established for anyone who would like to join in to comply with Colorado Open Meetings Law. The Public Hearing Section of Thursday’s meeting will include two presentations, a Minor Subdivision presented by Scott Scidmore to divide the home from the irrigated circle on property located at 1317 North County Road 102.

The second public hearing will be presented by David Noland on a proposal to build a home on commercial zone property at Township 27 North, Range East of the N.M.P.M.

Alamosa’s Board will host four different appointments – The board will recognize Dixie Heiman for 50 years of service in the County Clerk and Recorder’s office, receive a Public Health update from Emily Brown, hear a prospective memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the SLV Weed Management Association presented by Bryan Maestas, and finally a ‘High-Performance SLV’, Trinidad State College presentation by Jim Kynor.

After lunch, the board is scheduled to return at 1:30 p.m. and Alamosa BOCC will settle in with two work sessions – one centered on an Advisory Board Discussion of the Northwest Weed District and the other SLV Area Extension CSU 4H Discussion.
