On Tuesday, the National Night Out was celebrated for the first time in Alamosa at Cole Park to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. Present at the event were the Alamosa Police Department, Alamosa Sheriff’s Office, the SWAT vehicle, restorative programs, airlife support, Valley health services and more. There were games for kids and informational booths. Attendees check out the helicopter Air Methods Taos. Families gather around the Alamosa Police Department table to enter in a raffle for a free backpack filled with school supplies.
