ALAMOSA — Law enforcement officers with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office took the following actions in the past several weeks, including but not limited to:

Seven citations were written for speeding 10-19 mph over the speed limit.

Nine citations were written for speeding 20-39 mph over the limit plus one citation for speeding 20-39 mph over the limit in a school zone.

One citation was written for driving with a defective headlamp.

One citation was written for expired tags.

One citation was written for driving while license was under restraint, operating a vehicle without insurance and passing on the left when prohibited by markings.

One citation was written for driving while license was under restraint, driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both and driving with a blood alcohol content of .008 or more.

A citation was written for pedestrians walking on the highway and a second citation was written for disorderly conduct disturbing the peace.

A citation was written for dog at large.

Robert Joseph Mesta of Alamosa was cited for harassment and domestic violence at 7703 Basalt Court.

Gilbert Vigil of Pueblo was cited for aggravated motor vehicle theft in the first degree, driving an off-highway motor vehicle on the highway when license/privilege to drive was under restraint for express consent or alcohol or drug related offense at 102 U.S. Highway 160.

Gabriel Sanchez, 27, of Alamo, Texas was cited for criminal mischief at 333 Santa Fe (Quality Inn).

Matthew Salazar, 27, of Alamosa was cited for theft at 151 Broadway Avenue.
