ALAMOSA — The Alamosa FFA has had a busy fall. In addition to the Bale Twine Recycling Program, growing lettuce in the greenhouse for the “Farm to School Program” and several fundraisers FFA members are looking forward to winter.

One of the highlights of the year is the “Stock Show” trip in January. Students earn the right to go by participating in the fundraisers and attending FFA meetings.

The Alamosa FFA Alumni will hold its first meeting December 11th  at 6 p.m.in the Ag Shop Classroom. All are invited to attend.

The Chapter recently held its Creed Speaking Contest. Reciting the FFA Creed is part of each member’s path to receiving their FFA Greenhand Degree, the first of four degrees FFA Members can achieve.

The first and second place winners will compete in the District Creed Speaking Contest held at ASU in February along with the winners from all of the other valley FFA Chapters.
