Alamosa recognizes area nurses

In type big enough for everyone to read, area nurses receive due recognition during the May 2nd Alamosa city council meeting when the council proclaimed National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Skilled Nursing Week (May 13-19.)  Kara Finger and Erica Huls, center, hold the large proclamations. They are supported from left by nurses Jennifer Carr, Maggie Roybal, Ruth Kintz, Councilman Jan Vigil, Ramona Dutton, (Finger), Councilman Michael Charson, (Huls), Councilman David Broyles, Councilor Liz Thomas Hensley, Ericha Loosbrock representing Evergreen Nursing Home & San Luis Care Center and Alamosa Mayor Ty Coleman. The city commended area nurses for providing quality health care with dedication and skill in a variety of venues. Mayor Coleman added that when he first moved to Alamosa one of the first places he volunteered was at Evergreen Nursing Home where he was impressed with the quality of care. “They do a wonderful job,” he said.
