Alamosa Seniors: Sign up for ‘Evening of Elegance’

ALAMOSA — Thank you to all who volunteered their time and fabulous talents to help make the Rio Frio Pancake breakfast a success and to those who came out to support us! We so appreciate all of you!! A special thank you goes to Amaya Garcia-White Buffalo, Miss Jr. High Colorado, and her folks Ray and Maria White Buffalo for helping with the monthly newsletters!

February 9th @ 6:30 p.m. the Alamosa Senior Citizens will present an Evening of Elegance! The cost is $30 per person with a 3 course dinner consisting of Caesar salad/house salad, prime rib, baked potato, asparagus spears, raspberry sorbet & complimentary red or white wine. Attire is black tie optional. We invite everyone to dress comfortably! The event includes a 5 song silent auction with entertainment provided by Randy Macy & Corliss Taylor Dunn. RSVP by Friday, February 2nd. Reservations are required. This promises to be a special evening and seating is limited to 40 persons. Give us a call to reserve your place soon!

Please consider joining us on our next group tour to beautiful Mackinac Island in Michigan. The trip runs from June 21st - 27th. We are partnering with Falcon Tours. Mackinac Island is truly the “all natural” theme park of America. Limited to transportation of horse and buggy, bicycle or foot, surrounded by water, it has escaped the vast changes of time. When you step off of the Island Ferry Dock, you will be in a living Victorian village. There is no place more beautiful that Mackinac Island in the spring. The lilacs should be in full bloom and the entire town exploding with beautiful flowers! Please call for more detailed information.

The next senior excursion takes place Tuesday, February 6th to Taos, NM. There is a shuttle from the Casino to downtown so if gambling isn’t your thing and you just want to enjoy Taos, this trip is for you! The bus leaves the Center @ 7:45 a.m. Call to reserve your place!

For those of you who have supported the Alamosa Senior Citizens through donations to the Enterprise Zone, Thank you! The process will be a bit different this year so please make your checks payable to the Alamosa Senior Citizens and send them directly to us. Give me a call if you have questions or concerns.
