Alamosa’s summer reading program now underway

ALAMOSA — Alamosa Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is underway and all SLV youth, from infants to age 19 are encouraged to get registered to join in the fun! Register at the library or register from home by going to alamosa.readingrecord.net.

The library provides reading logs and everything you’ll need to participate in their Read for Beads incentive program. The theme this year is Libraries Rock so expect lots of music and dancing in addition to some “cool” science explorations at each week’s family fun event, Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at Alamosa Public Library! Free to all! Check out alamosalibrary.org for event scheduling and registration information.

The next event will feature Michael Casey of Peak Elevations! Be motivated and inspired as Michael Casey tells his personal story, using magic and music to share how he turns obstacles into stepping stones. Be inspired on Wednesday, June 20th at 10 a.m.

Alamosa Public Library would also like to thank participating community sponsors who are helping to encourage community engagement with local businesses and the library by giving music notes to registered readers as part of the incentive program: Lightshine Music; Birdie’s Boutique; Nestle Toll House Café; Alamosa Home; and Lolly’s Sweets Shoppe.
