Alamosa resident Alicia Rae Madril, 42, was called home on Feb. 13, 2023. Alicia came into the world on July 12, 1980, the beloved daughter of Ruth Joann Ortega and Joseph Madril Sr. After she finished high school, she went on to work as a teller at some of the local banks in Alamosa.
Alicia loved her children deeply. She liked dragonflies, listening to music, coloring and playing games. She enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, hiking and arrowhead hunting. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking meals for her family and with her family. Her favorite smells were vanilla and Sean John cologne.
Alicia had such a kind heart and beautiful soul. She loved everyone and loved to see others happy. Alicia always checked on her loved ones, making sure to send a text or call. She was caring and sweet to everyone she met. Alicia left a mark on everyone's heart and will be missed dearly.
Her memory will live on through her children Kevin Gonzales Jr., Raeicia Gonzales, her partner Kevin Clark, mother Ruth Ortega, father Joseph Madril Sr., brothers Joseph and Raul Ortega, Jesse Ortega, sister Nicole Madril (Nazz), nephew Ivhan Snyder, niece Azalea Ortega, her loving pets Bullet and Shamus. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Alicia was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Lionel and Lucille Ortega Sr., baby Micahayla Jaramillo, infant cousins Aaron Romero, Andrea Gonzales, Katrina Ortega, Jeremiah Ortega Jr., and Lionel "Nano" Ortega.
Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date.
