ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Amada “Ida” Eloida Manzanares, 88, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went home to our Lord on April 12, 2021.

She was born September 27, 1932, in Conejos County Colorado to Filandro P and Rosalina Jiron.

She is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Manzanares and husband Gerald Vigil of Albuquerque NM, Lucy Manzanares of Hickory, NC, Marcela Spivey and husband Bill of Hickory NC, and son Randy Manzanares of Albuquerque NM, four grandchildren, Casie Spivey Pelucio, Matthew Spivey, Emily Gibson and Phillip Gibson, three great-grandchildren, Lucas and Nick Pelucio and Grayson Spivey. She is also survived by her sisters Loretta Jarmillo and Martha Casias. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Luis L Manzanares, her mother, father, brothers Isaac, Orvel, Armando, Efrim, Tim and sister Lottie.

Ida was a devoted mother, grandmother and a huge baseball fan. Her biggest smiles were at all family gatherings, especially if dancing was involved, and at Oakland A’s and Colorado Rockies baseball games!

A rosary will be held Friday, April 16, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 7 pm. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. Viewing will be held from 9-10 am before the funeral mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos. Interment will follow the Mass at La Florida Cemetery, Lobatos Colorado.
