Hi! My name is Amarah. Kids are important to Jesus, and they’re important to me, too.

Jesus said, “Whatever you’ve done unto the least of these (kids), you’ve done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40, KJV).

Kids like me are kids and adults of all ages whose parents are, or were, drug addicts, and alcoholics; kids who have suffered, or who are suffering, abuse and neglect on multiple levels; and kids who are victims of bullying.

Please, help me help kids like me have CHRISTMAS this year! Do you know a kid like me who needs help for Christmas? If so, please complete this application and take to ACE HARDWARE, or mail to Amarah’s Hope for Kids Like Me, P. O. Box 354, Alamosa, CO 81101.

Please donate to our annual Kids Like Me Toy/Food/Warm Clothing Drive! Drop off donations at ACE HARDWARE, 157 Craft Drive, Alamosa, Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Christmas gifts will be distributed (available for pick-up), Friday, December 21^st at the Church of Christ, 208 Victoria St., Alamosa, CO, from 1-7 p.m.

My goal is to help kids like me, and I want to help their parents, too.

HI, this is Amarah. My parents were drug addicts and I know there are a lot of other Kids Like Me who need support, especially during the holidays. If you are a parent who is struggling with addiction, or a parent in jail because of drugs, I want to help you give your child(ren) a good Christmas to remember. Even though you may not be able to be with them, a letter from you would help and if you fill out this application in time, maybe we can give them a gift or meal in your name. We want to help Kids Like Me, and their parents, too. Please consider this application immediately! We will ask the community to contribute to this effort.
