Amarah's Corner: Janee shares story of struggle, hope

Hi! My name is Amarah. Kids are important to me, and they’re important to Jesus, too.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 (KJV), “Whatever you’ve done unto the least of these (kids), you’ve done it unto me.”

“Kids like me” are kids/adults of all ages whose parents are/were drug addicts, and alcoholics; kids who have suffered, or who are suffering, abuse and neglect on multiple levels; and kids who are victims of bullying.

Hey, kids like me! I had the privilege to ask questions of some mothers in Alamosa County Jail because of their struggle with addiction. Today is the fifth story:

To Derrion and Rayanna, Dad, Grandma Tillie, Grandpa Joe & Grandma Julia, Nina, Laura and Shadoe:

I know all is well out there - just wanted to say thinking of you. I pray daily that all this is over quickly so we can move forward. God knows all our sorrows and hears our prayers. Since day-one, I wanted family more, my children and I to be together, happy and blessed.

Help, Lord Jesus, God, Mary, and all, to make this complete. Three-years I’ve prayed daily, cried, and begged, and pleaded. Show Your works and let this manifest. Amen.

Lord knows everything I’ve done is because I will always protect those I love. My kids need to know this. Lord, guide them because the evil won’t prevail. Not much longer til the Lord Jesus, our Father, shows His will to the world.

If I was to wake-up tomorrow and all was perfect, what would it look like? There is no such thing as perfect. It’s more like a puzzle. As you grow, you pick-up pieces. And, a mother/child love or mother/child bond can never be broken. When life is painful, or we are hurt, we then do things to hurt ourselves. Everyone is addicted to anything that takes away the pain.

And, I’m the mom in this story and I give you the most thankful prayer and support for helping others, Amarah. You are a star. Please, help me publish this story to let my children know that all I’ve done - I’m sorry for, but God will get us through this. And, I will be out soon and I will help children like you guys.

Once all the pieces are picked-up, it creates a picture-perfect project - a beautiful masterpiece.
Children, believe and shoot for the stars! Even if you miss, or keep missing, eventually you will hit the moon!

Prayers, Belief, Faith, Love, and Family. Amen. Mom (Janee T).

Thank you, Janee! You are already helping others by sharing your heart, thoughts, and feelings with everyone who reads this column. And, I want you to know what Jesus said in Mark 11:22-24 22 "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

Jesus is telling us to talk to the mountain! The mountain is the problem(s) in your life. So, Janee, talk to your mountain. Tell it to be gone, in Jesus name. Do what He says in verse 24 - whatever you desire, when you pray, don’t doubt! Believe you receive it (stand on His Word!), and you will have it! This is one of His precious promises to You/to each of us. Walking with Jesus is an awesome life/lifestyle.

Thank you for reading my column. Write to me at Amarah’s “Kids Like Me” P.O. Box 354, Alamosa, CO 81101. Tell them to contact me, or you can contact me on their behalf. If you know a kid like me, or parent, who doesn’t have a Bible, but wants one, please, contact me. I’ll make sure he/she gets a Bible, “…and all the earth may know there is a God…” (1 Samuel 17:46, KJV).

Amarah’s “Kids Like Me” offers non-denominational World Bible School (WBS) Bible Correspondence Courses (free/postage paid) in English/Spanish to kids like me (ages 8-12), their parents, and even if you’re not a kid like me! Teens/adults take the WBS Master Series Courses so if you would like the WBS Courses, send your name/age/address and I’ll get you started ASAP! I hope to hear from you soon!

My goal is to help kids like me, and I want to help their parents, too. Until next time, remember, Jesus Loves You, and JESUS IS LORD!
