The Dickey-Springer Post 113 of the American Legion celebrates the American Legion’s 100th birthday on Thursday evening. The original caucus held in Paris, France on March 15-17, 1919 led by Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. established the Legion’s beginning focusing on the four pillars of veterans, defense, youth and Americanism. The American Legion has always been dedicated to community, state and nation.
