Andrea “Dre” Melendez (Trujillo) from Rupert, Idaho passed from this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Ogden, Utah. Dre was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was the youngest of five children born to Frank Trujillo and Betty Cardenas.  

She was a kind and gentle soul, always sharing a smile or a laugh with everyone she met, she knew no strangers. Her sense of humor, faith in God, and love for life were a testament to her great character and she will be sorely missed by many. There was no one who was not a friend, she loved people genuinely.

She was preceded in death by her son Miguel Angel Trujillo and her father Frank Joe Trujillo, mother Betty Cardenas and brother JD (Joel) Trujillo.

Dre is survived by her only beloved son Larry (Gabby) Trujillo and her cherished grandchildren, Siara, Yesenia, Andres and Aaliyah; and her siblings Ramona Dordan, Frank Trujillo (Janet), Bernadette Mcleod (Sam) , Mike Trujillo (Connie) and JR (Joe) Trujillo ; her fiancé Carlos Gonzales and also many cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Dre’s life will be held at a New Life Fellowship Church in Del Norte, 520 7th Street a 1:00 pm, after the internment a meal will be provided, please join the family.
