Santa Fe resident Andrew Gilbert Gonzales, 65. passed away October 15, 2020 at the Christus St. Vincent Hospital after his battle with cancer. Andy was welcomed into the world on December 10, 1954 in New Mexico, the son of Jovencio Gonzales and Clemintina Esquibel. Andy was known by all for his sense of humor, he loved making people laugh and smile. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, singing, dancing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. His favorite thing to do was travel and see new things.
Survivors include his mother Clemintina Esquibel of Glendale, AZ; daughters Andrea (Ab) Romero of Alamosa, CO; Marissa Vasquez of San Luis, CO; sons Jesse (Tiffany) Ortega of Alamosa, CO; Steven Aragon of Denver, CO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Virginia (Roy) Diaz of Glendale, AZ; Patsy (Rick) Perez, Katherine (Jarrod) Mack, Rose Floyd, brothers Jesse Esquibel and Miles Esquibel, He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his father Jovencio Gonzales, daughter Andrea Gonzales, siblings Arthur, Edward, Inez and infant grandson baby Romero.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 2-4 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
