CREEDE— C. Waters Gallery announces the 9th Annual Meet the Artists Show and Sale on Thursday, July 13, from 3-7 p.m. Located at N. 128 Main Street in Creede, just past the Creede Repertory Theater, C. Waters Gallery features an eclectic group of fine local and regional artists. Paintings, sculpture, jewelry and photography by over 20 artists will be featured at the reception along with a variety of food and drink.

The showcase opening marks gallery-owner Chere Waters’ ninth year hosting the public celebration of the many artists under her wing. Starting in a renovated garage at her house on the hill overlooking town, she is now celebrating the third year at her present space on Main Street.

Waters has been an integral part of the art scene in this small mountain destination tucked in at the headwaters of the Rio Grande and the spectacular San Juan Mountains. The gallery suffered an arson attack after its opening season on Main Street and escaped destruction by quick action from locals.

“We were fortunate to be able to bounce back after this devastating event,” asserts Waters.
