Antonito stayed in control adding to their lead in the second making a 40-11 score in the second period. Brianna Martinez had her second best performance for the Trojans this season taking second on the team in scoring with 14 points.

The game continued to trend further and further from competitive in the fourth with a 58-18 game having triggered a running clock since the third quarter. Erykah Tallman made her presence known, leading Antonito with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks.
The Antonito boys entered Thursday’ contest almost two weeks removed from their first win of the season, a 45-41 affair that they took over La Veta.

Against Primero the Trojans could not repeat that success. They would fall behind 20-11 in the first quarter which developed into a 35-15 score at the half. Antonito was Austin Abeyta’s 7 first half points, the Trojans just could not keep pace with the visiting Bulldogs.

Abeyta would lead Antonito with 11 points on the afternoon as the Trojans trudged the path to the 58-28 finale. Up next for Antonito will be Moffat/Mountain Valley in Moffat on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m.
