Application opens for Judicial Nominating Commission

VALLEY – Applications are now being accepted for upcoming vacancies on Judicial District Nominating Commissions throughout Colorado.

As of Dec. 31, there will be 40 vacancies including two in the 12th Judicial District, which encompasses the San Luis Valley. Judicial nominating commissioners are volunteers and serve six-year terms interviewing applicants for judicial vacancies and nominating candidates to the governor.

The 12th Judicial District (Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande and Saguache counties) will have two vacancies for non-attorneys.

Applications will be accepted through Oct. 27. Applications may be made only online at the State of Colorado Boards and Commissions Application page at https://www.tfaforms.com/290254. Applicants should include a current resume or biography where indicated on the application.
