Arrests made by APD

ALAMOSA — Yesterday morning just before 8 a.m. the Alamosa Police Department (APD) conducted a felony arrest operation at the 300 block of Edison Ave.

According to Police Chief Ken Anderson, five individuals contacted had warrants for their arrest. Two were arrested for the active arrest warrants. Charges against the remaining three are pending.

Arrested were Rudy Gonzales, 33 on a $10,000 felony warrant from Alamosa County; Joaquin Lovato, 24, on a failure to appear from Rio Grande County; Shiela Martinez, 41, on a warrant from Antonito Police Department for property crimes; Tanya Gutierrez, 35 on failure to appear from APD; and Phil Lucero, 48 on a restraining order violation. All five are from throughout the Valley.

Anderson said that the “Alamosa Police Department will continue to conduct random warrant operation.  If anyone in the community knows of someone with an outstanding warrant, please call either your local law enforcement agency or San Luis Valley Crimestoppers at 589-4111.

Camille Sowards purchased the building where the arrests were made in 2017.
