Assessor to speak at Rotary meeting

ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Rotary Club is pleased to announce that Sandra Hostetter will speak this coming Monday, September 17th at noon at Juanito’s Restaurant, 1019 6th Street.

Alamosa County Assessor Sandra Hostetter, originally from Conejos County, began working in the assessor’s office in 1993. At the time she was a suddenly single mom raising four kids. Working first for Assessor Dorothy Yeater and then Doris Orcutt, she progressed from an entry-level data input position to appraiser, then deputy assessor. She is a licensed appraiser and is now in her 16th year as assessor. The office is responsible for valuations of taxable property in the county. She is very much looking forward to giving a summary of the issues her office is currently dealing with, and addressing questions at the meeting.
