ASU presents SLV Symphony Fall Concert

Adams State Professor of Music William Lipke will be a featured soloist during the SLV Symphony Concert on October 28.

ALAMOSA – The San Luis Valley Symphony, under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Angela Winter, D.MA., will perform it Fall Classics Concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, in Adams State University Leon Memorial Hall. Tickets will be available in the Music Department office and at the door for $5 for adults/$1 for children and free for AS&F and Friends of Music members. The symphony is composed of former and current professional orchestra members, Adams State faculty and students, and community members. The concert will feature several popular pieces such as J.S Bach’s “Air” from Orchestral Suite No.3, a Bach chorale from his B Minor Mass, Aaron Copland’s Waltz from Billy the Kid and Edward Grieg’s monumental Concerto for Piano and Orchestra with William Lipke, D.M.A., as the concerto soloist.
