LA JARA — Aurel Leahu, 85, passed away April 26, 2020, at the Rio Grande Inn Nursing Home in La Jara. Aurel was born on April 17, 1935, in Romania, the son of Ioam and Lucretia Leahu. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life.
Aurel was a man of many skills, he was very talented working with his hands and building things. Survivors include his daughters Lidia Bardan of Romania, daughterin-law Michaela LeahuPasca of Axtell, TX; son Daniel Leahu of Romania, sisters Maria (Cornel) Trif of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law Florica Leahu of Chicago, IL; brother Traian Leahu of Phoenix, AZ.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Aurel was preceded in death by his brother Nicodin Leahu.
