Author event spotlights Latina at NGBC

Kali Fajardo-Anstine, author of Sabrina & Corina, will be at the Narrow Gauge Book Coop to meet readers and talk about her book at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 24. The event is cosponsored by History Colorado and the Community Foundation of the San Luis Valley.

From Denver, Kali Fajardo-Anstine has roots in the San Luis Valley. She was a fellow for the Center of Colorado Women’s History and has an MFA from the University of Wyoming.

Her debut book is a collection of short stories published by One World Random House. The collection features Latina characters of indigenous ancestry set against in the city of Denver. According to Goodreads, the book is “a moving narrative of unrelenting feminine power and an exploration of the universal experiences of abandonment, heritage and an eternal sense of home.”

Narrow Gauge Book Coop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
