Bean joins SLV Health as the CNO

ALAMOSA — Roberta Bean joined San Luis Valley Health on Sept. 9 of this year, serving as the new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). As a long-term resident of Colorado, Bean is excited to relocate to the San Luis Valley. She has extensive nursing leadership experience, working previously as Regional Chief Nursing Officer in northern Colorado with Banner Health. She obtained her master’s degree through the University of Phoenix and is Board Certified as a Nursing Executive.

In her role as CNO, Roberta will serve on the Senior Executive Team and provide strategic support and vision in executing SLVH’s services and roadmap as well as deliver leadership and direction to all activities of SLVH’s nursing departments to optimize quality care and staff performance and ensure compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations.  Bean’s core expertise includes quality improvement, change management, leadership development, fiscal improvement, patient safety and the patient experience.

She and her husband have two grown children and two grandchildren. They love the outdoors and have recently toured all of the national parks in the continental U.S. in their R.V.
