ALAMOSA – Marc Bellantoni has joined the staff of the San Luis Valley Development Resources Group (SLVDRG) as a Business Development and Enterprise Zone Manager. Most recently from Canon City, Bellantoni held a similar position with the Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments.  He began his new position with SLVDRG Oct. 1.

“Marc is going to be a great addition to the SLVDRG team. We were fortunate to hire Marc, as he comes to the organization with a direct history in both the Colorado Business Loan Fund and Enterprise Zone from his four years of experience with the Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments,” said SLVDRG Executive Director Kevin Wilkins. “His experience at UAACOG brings some new ideas and a fresh perspective to the organization and allows him to hit the ground running.”

Bellantoni will be responsible for originating and servicing loans for local businesses from the San Luis Valley Business Loan Fund.

“Marc will team directly Tonya Owsley as a loan officer, with each having additional duties in the diverse operations of the organization,” according to Wilkins.

“It is an honor to start my new adventure in the San Luis Valley at the Development Resources Group. I’m eager to work hand-in-hand with local businesses and partner organizations to bring capital to the area and benefit the region at large,” Bellantoni said. “I look forward to becoming a part of the San Luis Valley community and experiencing all the wonderful things it has to offer.”

Besides working with the San Luis Valley Business Loan Fund, Bellantoni will assume responsibility for the San Luis Valley Enterprise Zone including the Contribution Project program and the certification of business tax credits.
