Alamosa resident Benjamin "Benji" Arvizo, 31, was called home to be with the Lord on Oct. 31,2023. He was welcomed into the world on Feb. 13, 1992, in Alamosa, Colo., and was the beloved son of Manuel Arvizo and Bernice Medina Arvizo.

Benji was a loving father to his two wonderful sons. He was very passionate about spending time taking his boys hunting, watching movies, listening to music, playing video games and teaching them not to be afraid to try new things. His son's say that he made the best scrambled eggs with cheese and tortillas.

He loved every one of his family members and was a friend to all. He had a kind and gentle nature to him. He was a jokester with a contagious smile that filled the room with love. He also loved spending time with his favorite niece Natalia and his God-daughter Nevaeh. He will be greatly missed by all.

Benji was preceded in death by his grandfathers Manuel Arvizo Sr., and Benito A. Medina as well as his Uncle Orlando Medina.

His memory will live on through his sons Marcus Arvizo, Jeremiah Arvizo, mother Bernice Arvizo, father Manuel Arvizo, brothers Manuel Arvizo, Jesus Arvizo, his Granny Belen Medina, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, from 12-4 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the River of Life Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.
