Benjy Henry Vasquez

Alamosa resident Benjy Henry Vasquez, 51, died July 27, 2023, at Pikes Peak Hospice at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Benjy was born in La Jara, Colo., to Henry A. Vasquez and Evelyn E. Vasquez-Medina.

Benjy is survived by his only son Gage Vasquez of Nebraska, his sisters Molly (Victor Aguillar) Aguillar-Vasquez of Trinidad, Colo., Henrietta Kelly-Guodace-Kelly of Alamosa, Colo., his nephews Victor Aguillar Jr., Christopher, Brandon, and Kevin Guodace and niece Chantelle Maes.

He is loved very much and will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all those he left behind.

Benjy was preceded in death by both his parents his sister Kathy Arellano-Vasquez, his niece Shaliah Guodace, his nephew Anthony Aguillar and his brother-in-law Harry T. Kelly.

Benjy was a jack of all trades, he was the go-to guy if you needed anything, those in need knew they could always count on Benjy. He was an excellent mechanic. Benjy was the best brother, Uncle and friend. He will be missed, those who knew him, knew him very well.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
