Benny Jose Dominguez
Manassa resident Benny Jose Dominguez, 54, passed away April 16, 2021, at the Pikes Peak Hospice Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family. Benny was welcomed into the world on January 21, 1967, in Alamosa, Colorado, the beloved son of Walter Dominguez and Anna Marie Gonzales Dominguez. Benny served and was a veteran of the United States Army. He served for seven years and was honorable discharged in 1993. After completing his duties in the service he went on to work for Asplundh as a foreman for many years. Benny was an exceptional man, a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, working on his truck as well as helping his family and friend with their cars. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and he loved the time he spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife Laura Dominguez of Manassa, CO; daughters Amanda Valenzuela (Jon Marquez) of Alamosa, CO; Leandra Aragon of Denver, CO; sons Matthew Aragon, B.J. Dominguez, Aaron (Samantha) Dominguez, son-in-law Joshua Valenzuela of Monte Vista, CO; granddaughters Indica Sandoval of Denver, CO; Celeste Valenzuela of Pueblo, CO; goddaughters Deanna Lucero and Gracie Gallegos, siblings Pat (Herman) Arellano of Denver, CO; Debbie (Ben) Martinez of Capulin, CO; Walter “Bito” (Janet) Dominguez of Monte Vista, CO; Nancy (Efrem) Ortiz of Alamosa, CO; Charles (Henrietta) Dominguez of Center, CO; Anthony Dominguez of Capulin, CO; Robert (Joanna) Dominguez of Durango, CO; brother-in-law Jeremy Gallegos of Ortiz, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Anna Marie Dominguez and one sister Diane Dominguez.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 10:00 AM also at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. Interment will follow at the Capulin Cemetery.
