In Colorado, there have been 765 hospitalizations from the flu through December, 2019 with 18 of those reported in the San Luis Valley. It’s not too late to get your flu shot. Vaccines are still available at locations across the San Luis Valley, including at the clinics at San Luis Valley Health where no appointment is needed. Officials with the Centers for Disease Control report numbers are starting to resemble the 2017-2018 flu season, which was the most severe of the decade.
