Billie J. Walberg

Mosca resident Billie J. Walberg, 88, died April 21, 2022 at her home in Mosca, under hospice care.

Billie was welcomed into this world on January 26, 1934 in Kress, Texas, the proud daughter of Lee Crutchfield Skipworth and Thelma Inez Caskey Skipworth.  She married the love of her life, Norman Morris Walberg.  He preceded her in death on December 14, 2010.

Billie was a homemaker and helped her husband on their farms in Texas and Colorado.  She helped by bailing and raking hay, driving trucks loaded with potatoes and wheat, and drove a tractor when needed.  She was a fantastic cook and loved making dinner for Sunday family dinners, where she would feed several families.  Billie was a loving and caring person, mother and friend. 

She is survived by her children Neil Walberg of Colorado Springs, CO, Mike Walberg of Mosca, CO and Jason (Denise) Rowe of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren Justin Walberg, Kailey Schulte, Megan Walberg, Mikayla Walberg, Jason Rowe, and Jared Rowe; her great-granddaughter Rebecca Schulte; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Tammy Rowe and her sister Emma dee Garett.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.  Inurnment will take place at a later date next to her husband in Kress, Texas.
