Makai Michael Abeyta was born on June 24, 2019 at San Luis Valley Health to Michael and Brittney Abeyta of Alamosa.

Makai weighed eight pounds 10 ounces and measured 21 inches long. He is welcomed home by sisters, Mikayla and Myla. Maternal grandparents are Mike Perea and Beverly Cordova of Alamosa. Paternal grandparents are Ernest and Helen Abeyta of Manassa. Great-grandparents are Harold and Mary Cordova, Josie and Derrio Chacon, Joe and Maryann Perea and Bertha Ortiz.
