DEL NORTE — Wildwood Sounds presents a concert and dance with Blue Sky, featuring rock n roll, on Saturday, January 12th, at 7 p.m. at 850 Grande Ave. (Highway 160) in Del Norte. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Blue Sky Band has been around the southern Colorado area for nine years and running. They have been rocking the San Luis Valley playing an eclectic sort of well known and lesser-known classic rock songs. From Eric Clapton to Warren Zevon, the band will have you enjoying the hits of the past as well as some you may not have heard in a long while.

Bob Phillips, on lead guitar, grinds out some wicked lead solos, and especially has his heart in the blues. He is the owner of Lightshine Music in Alamosa. Bill Linam plays acoustic guitar and vocals and brings his own color to each song. Don Garcia is bass player and locals and always brings humor to the gig. John “JR” Rawinski, motors on the drums, and has played jazz and rock drums with bands such as Community Band, Brian Flynn, Sneakers, and Ahgadaze.

The band will definitely get listeners energized.

Tickets are $20 at the door. Call for reservations to 719-657-4757 or email [email protected].

This is a sweets or snacks potluck. Bring a favorite healthy treat to share, with coffee and tea on the house.
