Boys and Girls Club of the SLV host the return of the Be Great Gala

ALAMOSA - The Boys and Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley is thrilled to announce the successful return of the in-person BE GREAT Gala hosted for the first time ever at the Alamosa Club. This event celebrated and honored over 100 organizations and individuals which have made a significant impact in the lives of local youth. Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled, mission-focused evening complete with dinner from Baldo’s Restaurant and a range of auction items to help fundraise for the youth in our community.

Aaron Miltenberger, Executive Director said, “there was tremendous energy in the room with so many folks from our community being honored for their partnership in supporting the youth of the San Luis Valley. We have grown tremendously over the past six months and that would not be possible without our community leading us to meet their most crucial needs and supporting us in this work.” Miltenberger reiterated the BGCSLV’s commitment to the future of the Valley, saying, “we will continue to serve more youth, more often, with deeper impact for years to come.”

It is our community network that makes visions for the future of our youth possible. We are grateful to our sponsors for this event and all those who were able to attend, helping us to generate over $65,000 total. We are also incredibly grateful to all those who have made our work possible throughout the challenges of the past year. Our community as a whole is empowered by collaboration and an intentional focus on developing strong engagement efforts.

It’s not too late to be a part of our community-building efforts! If you were unable to attend and you are interested in supporting this mission, feel free to reach out to our Director of Finance
