Del Norte resident Bruce Wayne Torres, 60, passed away January 30, 2021. Bruce was born on June 7, 1960 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Albert Torres and Gloria Read Torres. Bruce was an outdoorsman, he loved going arrowhead hunting and being in the mountains. He was a kind and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who was an avid Denver Broncos Fan, loved the taste of lemon, and cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren, family and friends.

He will live on through his wife Jeannie Hawkins of Del Norte, CO; stepdaughter Angela Strickland of South Fork, CO; stepson Frankie Strickland Jr., of Ordway, CO; Allen Strickland of Red Buff, CA; grandchildren Jasmine Strickland of Del Norte, CO; Adessa Strickland of Ordway, CO; sisters Virginia “Susie” (Bob) Torres of Grand Rapids, MI; Sharon Torres of Cold Water, KS; brothers David (Erin) Torres of Buffalo, NY; Glenn Torres of Sterling, CO; Paul (Lupe) Torres of Alamosa, CO; Dana Torres of Ft. Garland, CO; Paul Torres Sr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents  Albert and Gloria Torres and his great-grandson Jace Hardin.
