ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Rotary Club is pleased to announce that Kelly Gurule of the SLV Health Foundation will be the speaker on Monday December 11 at noon at Jaunito’s Restaurant, 1019 Sixth Street.

Alamosa Rotary Club member Kelly Gurule will update the club on the construction of the new SLV Health Cancer Center, scheduled to open in early 2018. Kelly and her volunteer board members have been engaging with partners in the community for over three years to raise funds for the new center, which broke ground in June. The foundation has raised over $350,000 toward the project. Some of the events that community members have supported include the Bolos and Boots dinner and auction and the annual Stephanie L Miner 5K Walk and Run. As a new fundraiser, the Foundation is excited to offer engraved brick pavers that will grace our front entrance of the new addition of the SLV Health Cancer Center in the front of the Regional Medical Center at 106 Blanca Avenue.
