CONEJOS COUNTY — The two men who allegedly shot a man and woman are facing 26 charges in Conejos County.
Ryan Lopez, 36 and William Trujillo, 34, both from Conejos County, appeared in court Aug. 5 when they learned of the charges against them. They are accused of shooting Roy Sisneros, 43, and Veronica Archuleta, 25, July 15 in the 8000 block of Highway 15 in Capulin.
Among the felony charges for both men include attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree burglary armed with explosives, menacing with a real or simulated weapon, felony menacing, conspiracy to commit burglary, and conspiracy to commit menacing. There are also 11 counts of committing a crime of violence with a sentence enhancer and two misdemeanor charges.
Trujillo is due back in court Aug. 12 and Lopez on Aug. 16.
