ALAMOSA — Michael Carson announced his candidacy for Alamosa city councilor representing the 4th Ward.

He is a lifetime resident of the San Luis Valley and has lived in Alamosa for more than 20 years.

“We have called the 4th ward home for 15 years now and have always loved our neighborhood,” Carson said.”

Carson is a Database and Network Administrator and has worked in the IT and computer field here in the Valley for more than 15 years.

“During that time I have had the opportunity to meet people from all backgrounds and I do truly believe that we do have some of the best people in the world,” he said. 

“Over the last few years I have seen many changes to our precious city and our uniquely wonderful San Luis Valley and I would love to be part of helping shape our city’s future. I have seen the successes as well as the struggles our citizens face and look forward to helping our city in any capacity that I can.  I am excited and feel very privileged to have the opportunity to run for this vital office.
