CDOT to conduct avalanche control work

SW COLORADO — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) advises motorists that maintenance crews will be performing snow and avalanche control operations on US Highway (US) 160 Wolf Creek Pass Friday, February 23.

TRAVEL IMPACTS:

Motorists will experience intermittent delays starting at 6 a.m. Westbound traffic will be stopped at the summit. Eastbound traffic will stopped near Treasure Falls. The operations may last for much of the day, but crews anticipate the closures to be of a short time frame.

CDOT suggests motorists plan their travel for these scheduled intermittent stops. Travelers are urged to watch for snow equipment, maintenance crews and avalanche control crews working on the mountain pass.
